THE WORLD WIDE LEADER IN SPORTS,NOW SPANS THE GLOBE
Well, the last vestage of broadcasting history is about to take its last bow on August 26th,as ABC Sports in both name and tradition will be no more...fin'! begining September 2nd,with the start of college football season,the ABC Sports moniker becomes "ESPN on ABC".

In the announcement it is explained that all sports programming will open with an "ESPN on ABC" animation graphic, the famed ESPN logo will appear within the production of the broadcast, BUT the famed ABC SPORTS logo will remain on all on and off air promotions as well as in the right lower third of all sports broadcasts.

While some in the business applaud this, other are a tad saddend that "Roone's Baby" is about to be put out to pasture in the great Television retirement home in the sky along with such icons as NBC SPORTS WORLD,Peter Puck,and NBC GOLF.


MORE SUMMER DULDRUMS HIT ABC..(BET THEY CANT WAIT FOR FALL)
In baseball,if you strike out, the manager sends you to the minors...if your the programming head of ABC...you feel like being shifted to "THE CW" right now, for the third time this summer,an reality based ABC show got shit canned after two eps!
As we remember, the FIRST casuality was "THE ONE...The search for the next music star", it cost a lot to produce as well as also cost the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation lots of dignity when they moved its newscast "THE NATIONAL" off for the abc show..bet Mansbridge and crew are laughing BIG now, as the show only lasted two episodes.
That was followed by yes...another forgettable ABC reality show which bombed badly after TWO eps,and that was followed by ..the latest strike! ONE OCEAN VIEW

The less said about it,the better, in all ABC is expected to lose a bathtub full of dough from all three of its flops including "THE ONE"


THE MTV REALITY SHOW CURSE STRIKES AGAIN!
Well, the MTV reality show curse continues to take its toll, yes friends THREE MORE couples have bit "the big won ton" and are divorcing.
What started with MTV's "Newlyweds" Nick Lashey and songbird/actress Jessica Simpson,now can claim the following to its list:
Dave Navarro and "bouncy" actress Carmen Electra,who starred in their own reality series for MTV announced they too were getting a divorce,that was followed three days later by "MEET THE BARKERS" stars "Blink 182" drummer Travis Barker and his wife,former Miss USA and B-Movie screen queen and former wife of boxer Oscar De La Hoya, Shanna Moakler who were married on October 30,2004, they have 2 kids of their own , while Moakler has a child from her marriage to De la Hoya.
ATTENTION CELEBS WHO WANT TO WED,DO IT WITHOUT MTV WITH YOU!!, hmmm wonder if there are any bets on the VH1 couple Christopher Knight and Adrienne Curry surviving past syndication..lol
